The Test of the White Stag

The hunt for the white hind is the stuff of myth – according to legend, those who can keep up with the mystical stag will discover treasures lost to time. In truth, the heroes in these stories are being tested, but not for anything as simple as stamina. During the hunt heroes face hard fights, questions of morality and opportunities to show their skills.

MrJackDaly has played this adventure and would recommend it.

Ran this as part of a larger adventure for my group of 5 players recently. It worked really well, slotting in easily as part of the broader adventure in an enchanted forest.

The large number of scenes included provides plenty of variety to pick from, enabling you to easily choose the handful that will be most relevant to your group. They can also all easily be modified on the fly if needed.

My players had a great time working through all the little challenges (they especially enjoyed the random magical effects from the hot springs). We comfortably finished the adventure (using 5 of the challenges, one of which was a combat encounter) in a single ~4 hour game session.
