Dare to defy death in this adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game.
The talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse: a wasting disease afflicting everyone who’s ever been raised from the dead. Victims grow thinner and weaker each day, slowly but steadily sliding toward the death they once denied.
When they finally succumb, they can’t be raised—and neither can anyone else, regardless of whether they’ve ever received that miracle in the past. Temples and scholars of divine magic are at a loss to explain a curse that has affected the entire region, and possibly the entire world.
The cause is a necromantic artifact called the Soulmonger, which is located somewhere in Chult, a mysterious peninsula far to the south, ringed with mountains and choked with rainforests.

I played through about half this adventure and didn't get past the jungle, but it was unbelievably fun. An absolute romp of an adventure I would return to tomorrow if I had the chance. My only critique is that I wish there was a bit more structure to Port Nyanzaru. It's a fun, vibrant city but felt directionless and more of a stopping point along the way, than a mini-journey in its own right. While there's some great descriptions of the city, it's quite hard to bring it to life. The dino race is a fantastic mini game that everyone enjoyed, but I think there could be more to do with the Colosseum, the Merchant Princes, the Zhentarim. That being said, the jungle is the most fun for the players and the DM. So many cool things to explore and from memory, my players all preferred to spend time at a destination in the jungle, rather than the daily exploration grind. I also found the exploration rules a bit draining and did away with them towards the end. All-in-all, this is a very fun adventure that leaves room for the DM to come up with some fun stories and memorable experiences!

Ran this during AL. Playing with meat grinder mode is highly advised if the players are game. Make sure they know characters are highly likely to die. I had one player go through 5 characters!
