For as far back in time as the tales of history stretch, the area bordering what is now the Lands of Launewt has been a foreboding, practically impenetrable forest. When the lords who ruled the various borderlands united to form the Council of Launewt a century ago, the forest was in the same physical condition as it is now: thick, dark, and expansive, said to be so dense at the center that sunlight pervaded the foliage only on the brightest days. Your adventures have taken you to strange places before, but in the eyes of your experienced party, few of these places are as unusual as the bizarre Land Beyond the Magic Mirror. Here the delightful and the light-hearted often hide great challenges and dangers; here you will journey through a landscape unique among fantasy role-playing scenarios. This adventure was first conceived by E. Gary Gygax as part of the Greyhawk Castle dungeon complex and has been the source of challenge and fun for many skilled players of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game. It is finally available to all players and can be added to your existing campaign with ease. "The Land Beyond the Magic Mirror" is designed so that it may be used with its companion scenario, EX1: "Dungeonland." Still, "Land Beyond the Magic Mirror" may easily be played on its own, and should offer hours of excitement in its strange landscape! An adaptation of Lewis Carrol's book 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' into a dungeon crawl, and a sequel to the module EX1 Dungeonland which adapted 'Alice in Wonderland' in the same way. TSR 9073

This adventure is part of TSR 9386 FRM1 - The Jungles of Chult Introduction: Lord Onovan of the Dales stumbled through the underbrush, his clothes in tatters, his body aching from a tenday in the jungle. The food was gone; the water, too. The last of the bearers had fled hours ago, leaving him nothing but the tunic on his hack and the sword in his hand. Through the lush curtain of vines and broad-leafed plants surrounding Onovan came the ominous sound of Batiri war drums. He glanced up at the thick canopy high overhead. The sun was going down. The goblins would be after him soon. The howling packs would trail him like bloodhounds through the jungle until the sun drove them into hiding again. Panic closed around his heart like a stone giants fist, crushing his dreams of escape. The goblins had killed Kadir Silveraxe and Ryn the Bold as if they'd been stripling warriors, not experienced sellswords. And if stout warriors like them were no match for the Batiri, what hope did a gentleman explorer like Onovan have? That grim thought flew from the explorers mind as he pushed through a tangle of saw-leafed vines. The creature lurking there in wait for him was huge, at least as tall as a two-story building. Splashes of browns and greens covered the beasts scaly hide, perfectly masking its bulk against the jungle. A dinosaur! Onovan noted in fearnumbed awe, just before the allosaurus snapped him in two with its powerful jaws and row after row of daggerlike teeth.

This adventure was originally designed as an AD&D scenario and run at GenCon XIV Convention. However, due to copyright reasons, it was published in "Adventure Gaming" as a generic adventure, suitable for any fantasy RPG. Your homeland, the small, but happy and prosperous country of Bel-Vedere, has been attacked by insidious black sorcery. All of the country's wise men and mages have failed to block the attack, which has taken the form of mass confusion, fear, and frightening illusions. After studying ancient manuscripts, the mages determined that Bel-Vedere's only salvation lay in their obtaining an artifact called the "Pyramid of Light". A plea for adventurers to undertake the quest to locate this artifact was issued, and you ten were chosen from those responding. A torn parchment, found with the manuscript which told of the Pyramid, bears a map to the temple, which is the legendary home of the artifact. The parchment also contained the enigmatic phrase "Three keys only will open the door to enlightenment". Equipped by the mages, your party has followed the ancient map for 20 days, through the southern wastelands, stopping at the oases marked. Mid-morning of the 21st day, you come upon a huge, pyramid-shaped structure nestled between sand dunes. Approaching it slowly, your adventure begins...

Not even memories of past glory live on in the gentle hills around the village of Kusnir. Today its people have more concern for commonplace things, like the harvest, trade, and the threat of death in the night! Kusnir is beset by a skulk. The attentions of such a creature are a curse on any community. Streets and alleys which ring to the voices of children by day become fearful, shadowy places by night. Men go abroad armed and in groups, while women and children stay behind locked doors and even there are not safe. But life goes on. The lot of the peasant is always hard, what cannot be prevented must be endured and, of course, things could be worse. Much worse. The skulk has begun to visit the village more and more often. Sometimes it kills, yet just as often it spares a victim, leaving clear signs of what it might have done had it wished. Its visits are now marked by strange and illegible symbols scrawled in blood on the walls of the buildings. The people are worried, helpless, and desperate. Desperate enough to welcome adventurers. UK2: "The Sentinel" (1983) is the second UK-series adventure, the fifth TSR UK adventure overall, the first solo effort by Morris, and the first half of the two-part Adlerweg series (whew!). It was run as a tournament at the GamesFair '83 Open, then published later in 1983. TSR 9101
