Designed as an Introduction to the world of Eberron and is intended for a party of four 1st-level characters. This adventure takes place in Sharn, the city of Towers. It begins, as many incidents in the City of Towers do, with a corpse. A warforged assassin, a mysterious blank book, and an offer from a House Cannith heir leads the adventures into the depths of Sharn--eventually to an ancient ruin dating back to before the creation of the Kingdom of Galifar. Along the way, if the adventures are successful, they recover a lost schema--a part of a pattern used by artificers to craft magic items. They also learn that many different agencies are interested in this relic, including those loyal to the various House Cannith elders and agents of the infamous Lord of Blades.

I know we told you that we closed out the convention scenarios for 2017 but we were wrong! One of our favorite conventions (CafCon) is named differently and therefore overlooked! Problems at Vanessa’s Point is a nice little urban adventure that was made for six, 4th level players. The party hits town during a big celebration and is presented with a business opportunity. The local militia is out seeking a group of problems and the celebration needs some extra security. This sandbox style scenario is filled with strange encounters for your own campaign or play it straight through! The scenario was at several 2017 Convention offerings and was always a big hit. The original characters are published under HOF4 (free).

Home to a variety of merchants, malcontents, and adventures this city has something for everyone. A group favorite for one-shot adventures my players all enjoy a visit to this city located in the Principality of Lockerbie. This city has a both generalized encounters and open challenges for any numbers of players. The open challenges (City adventure hooks) have been left to assign challenge ratings depending upon the characters encountering the issue. The vast sprawl of the city gives the players a multitude of businesses to shop in but gives the DM the flexibility to make it “fit” their campaign. I hope your characters enjoy Kettlespit as much as mine do!
