Far in the future, bards sing tales of kings and conquerors from ages past - but from your present. The Hero-Kings of legend are your player characters from your campaign, who even now shape the course of Cerilian history. More than simply an adventure collection, this 160-page book enables you, the Dungeon Master, to turn ordinary domain actions into oppurtunites for heroic exploits. Each of the eleven "legends" set forth here is based on a different random event from the BIRTHRIGHT Rulebook. Don't allow a mere die roll to decide the outcome of a blood challenge, rebellion, intrigue, or magical event - make the PCs forge their own destinies by confronting a madman who is "Blood Hungry," wresting the "Fang of Kriesha" from its evil wielder's grasp, thwarting a rival regent's "Double Dealing," and saving all of Cerilia from "The Gift of Azrai." These adventures are suitable for PCs of all levels and classes - wheter regents, scions, or commoners - and can take place wherever you campaign is set. This book also includes an appendix that offers advice for running different types of BIRTHRIGHT campaigns and creating your own adventures fit for a king. TSR 3125

High tide is coming in in this week’s encounter: Sea Trolls in the Net, a tongue-in-cheek combat encounter about a troll troubling fishermen and getting tangled up in their net. This encounter works best when it can add flavor to a grim, seaside locale as a random encounter the adventurers stumble across while exploring. While exploring a blighted shoreline on some forsaken coast, the adventurers find a sea troll feasting upon fishing nets full of freshly caught fish while their fishermen flee from the shore.
With an enemy fleet intent on conquering the Shackles looming on the horizon, the adventurers must launch their own fleet of pirates and buccaneers to defend against the invaders, culminating in an epic naval battle at the edge of the Eye of Abendego. This volume of Pathfinder Adventure Path includes: • “From Hell’s Heart,” a Pathfinder RPG adventure for 13th-level characters, by Jason Nelson. • Pirate plots and sinister situations to expand the horizon of your Skull & Shackles campaign, by Adam Daigle. • More menacing sea monsters and terrors from the deep plaguing the Shackles, by Adam Daigle. • A pirate showdown in the Pathfinder’s Journal, by Robin D. The colony of Farshore has survived on its own for years, a secluded and struggling hamlet perched on the western shore of the tiny island of Temute. An island dwarfed by the savage landscape across the narrow channel to the north, a landscape of rugged mountains, tangled jungles, and trackless swamps. This is the Isle of Dread, and its resources and hidden treasures are matched only by its peril. Yet for all these dangers, what may bring doom to Farshore is not an invasion of inhuman monsters from the mainland, but an invasion of all-too-human monsters from across the sea. "Tides of Dread" is the fifth chapter of the Savage Tides Adventure Path, a complete campaign consisting of 12 adventures appearing in Dungeon magazine. For additional aid in running this campaign, check out Dragon magazine's monthly "Savage Tidings" articles, a series that helps players and DMs prepare for and expand upon the campaign. Issue #352 of Dragon magazine features rumors of Farshore, a helpful list of improvements the PCs can make to the colony, and other features to help get PCs oriented in their new home on the Isle of Dread. The destruction of a pirate ship signals the beginning of a Crimson Fleet invasion. The PCs must race against time to prepare for the onslaught before an old enemy can release another savage tide. Can Seapoint Be Saved? is an adventure designed for use with the AD&D rule system. To be able to answer that question, a party of adventurers should consist of 4-8 player characters, each of 4th-7th level. The group may also include henchmen and hirelings. A self-contained, zero-prep one-shot for 2-3 players at levels 2-3, playable in a single 2-3 hour session. Cattle are vanishing in the night, perfect rings are seared into the fields, and villagers who have seen the lights come back changed. The party investigates a frightened farming hamlet, tracks the lights to a disc-shaped craft half-buried in a crop ring, and boards it to rescue a missing farmer's daughter before confronting the cold intelligence that pilots the vessel and escaping as it climbs. A played-straight horror-comedy: every villager treats the terror as real, and the comedy grows from absurd specifics rather than winking at the premise. Four acts across 18 keyed scenes, four pregenerated characters, six original stat blocks, five battle maps, a genuine branching choice, scaling for 2-4 players, and Game Master guidance throughout.
