A Twisted Level 4 Adventure of Science and Sanity Lost by Infinite Initiative They wanted perfection. They got him instead. Beneath the sea lies a sunken research city—once a marvel of arcane progress, now a decaying labyrinth of broken glass, failed experiments, and whispers in the dark. At its heart, a mad scientist clings to his vision, bending corpses and constructs to his will. The players must brave an abandoned lighthouse, activate a long-dormant portal, and descend into the abyssal halls of a drowned facility. But something stirs in the tanks… and it’s not alone. Inside the Adventure: A puzzle-filled lighthouse and a cinematic octopus encounter A non-linear underwater dungeon teeming with mutated horrors Tactical environments: flickering labs, crumbling windows, and flooded chambers A final boss fight against a deranged scientist and his unstable Abomination Includes new stat blocks and a unique magic item: the Cloak of Protection (as a warded lab coat) This is a dark, atmospheric one-shot perfect for groups who enjoy horror, puzzles, and morally twisted villains. Part of the Thirsty Tiger Tales series by Infinite Initiative.
A mission to find a rare recipe ingredient for a local wizard. The recipe to fashion that magic item calls for a few drops of fey blood. Hmmm...where in the world can that be found?
Under the Flooded Forest grows a toxic maze of magical fungi called the Nidus. From this horrid realm a cult has struck a terrible blow against the wood elves struggling to regrow the trees in the forsaken swamp of the Flooded Forest. Cruel Summer expands on the summer arc of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, adding two new factions, several colorful new NPCs and four new mapped locations. After the Cassalanter's Founders' Day celebration ends in death and destruction, their twin children are found to be missing. Waterdeep is in an uproar, the Cassalanters aren't talking and it falls to the party to solve the mystery of the childrens disappearance. Could it be connected to the sinister new faction taking root in the city? Who is the stranger whose corpse was left behind in the twins' bedroom? Is there a link to the surprisingly vicious Noble Council of Soapmakers? With this supplement, the PCs will have a chance to save the Cassalanter children from the terrible fate outlined in Dragon Heist, avoiding the "Trolley Dilemma" situation some players might not enjoy. It also incorporates elements of the Spring, Fall and Winter arcs, allowing the players to rub shoulders with Jarlaxle, Manshoon and the Xanathar.
Deep in the swamp, villagers claim something unnatural is happening at a large manor on the edge of town. A suspicious owner whose wife died years ago is attempting something dark and terrible, and it's up to the party to stop him. The true fun of this adventure lies in the house itself, which is filled with hidden references and homages to the works of Edgar Allan Poe, with the author himself filling the role as the suspicious home owner.
The Night of the Rise is a unique adventure that offers the party an alternative to the "hack & slash" approach. The opportunity for role play is high and it is sure to tap into skills and abilities most of your characters never knew they possessed. Not only does it offer a new experience for your players, but hopefully it has them smiling several times during the night. A request to deal with a bandit captain named Giles Ne'Ville sends the adventuring party on a two-day journey. During this journey, they find an entertaining way to deal with this Giles Ne'Ville. Will they use this opportunity? Or will they take the typical 'hack & slash' approach to dealing with villans? This adventure is written in a non-specific location but is easily insertable into any campaign as a one-shot adventure. I feel that it would work great in Strom King's Thunder as an added traveling encounter.
