*** WARNING: this adventure contains strong scenes and descriptions which may not suit all kinds of public. It's heavy on horror, suspense, gore and sadism. The entire adventure available in the Full Preview, so that you can self-assess the content and buy in confidence. *** The main theme of the adventure is horror, using suspense elements as well as gore and sick scenes to shock your players. The adventure is divided in 2 parts: the first part involves a mad vampire spawn who tortures as a hobby, full of scary stuff like you see in horror movies. The second part involves a lesser demon lord stuck in a kind of inverted world (Stranger Things/Silent Hill style) which has a dread passion for a very disturbing and wicked art. There are tips on how to set the mood and make your players actually tense or even scary.

Nothing can stand in the way of the Inquisitors of the Pure Flame. Except maybe a young girl who can perform actual miracles… "Nobody Expects the Thranish Inquisition" is an adventure for an EVIL party of 5th-level characters. The players take control of the ruthless, cunning, moustache-twirling inquisitors of the Pure Flame. Their enemies, the Flame of Purity (an entirely different religious order), have discovered a wonderchild—a girl named Jaela Daran—and are planning to elect her as the next Keeper. In order to prevent this, the characters must investigate three miracles that the girl has already performed and erase all traces of them. Then they must bring her before the assembly of cardinals and expose her as a heretic. What could possibly go wrong? What was once a peaceful chapel now glows with sickly yellow light. Locals whisper of cheese-scented smoke curling from its windows… and giggling shapes scampering through the graveyard after dark. Cheese Goblins swarm the halls, corrupting pews, altars, crypts, and even the sacred dead. If the ritual completes, the Matron of Cheese will step through the veil—and the town below may drown in holy curdled chaos. Adventurers must storm the defiled church, navigate its cheese-slicked catacombs, disrupt the ritual flames, and confront Darius before Lavache fully manifests… or face the archfey herself in all her gooey, bovine glory. Inside the Adventure A complete 5e one-shot for characters level 4 • A hilltop church overrun by goblins, traps, riddles, and corrupted magic • A branching dungeon with dynamic time pressure—delays strengthen the final encounter • A cheese-slick sanctuary fight, a cursed family crypt puzzle, and a summoned archfey showdown • A chaotic boss battle with Darius Manchego and (if the party is too late) Lavache, the Matron of Cheese • A new magic item: Curdled Charm of Cheese Conjuring Adventure Hooks The Sudden Takeover – Overnight, the church begins oozing cheese and goblins barricade the road.
