This campaign was created as a response to comments from some friends of mine. Though they were avid board game players, they didn’t want to try D&D because it seemed like too much of a time commitment with too many rules to learn before getting started. This campaign uses stripped down characters and a simple campaign, and was made to give them a chance to try it for half an hour on a regular board games night. I’m putting it online in the hopes that other people can do the same with it and expand the community. Inspired by /u/plaintreality of Reddit.
You and your cohorts have pulled into Free Haven, a port city in the northern reaches to settle down for the season. Your respite is short lived as word reaches the city that a small community further north has been attacked by humanoid raiders! Refugees from North Port have arrived and report their community has been sacked. There is little hope of survivors and the fear is that Free Haven may be next. With little else to do, it is time for the party to put on their “hero caps” and save the day!

Throw your party into an action movie in this pulse-pounding, single-session adventure inspired by Die Hard. Why GMs Will Love It - It's flexible and easy to run, and rewarding without being overcomplicated. - A quick-reference page contains all the information you might need at a moment's notice, including suggested on-the-fly combat encounters, NPC names, and a cast list with roleplay suggestions for each character. - A plot checklist to help keep you on track during the game. - Most importantly, information is right where you expect to find it.
Ever been on a long running campaign and in one of the sessions one or a few players couldn’t make it? This adventure was made to be used as sort of a filler episode to fix that. Made for a small party of 1st-4th lvl characters and to be played in a single session. Story summary - The Gold Knife Bandits, a gang formed by a former army squadron that deserted. They are remarkably loyal to each other and are known in the area for attacking army caravans and camps. However, after several months of unfortunate loots. They decided to house a cultist of Beshaba and do what he asks to take away the curse of misfortune the gang is obviously under. Unfortunately, that includes using some members of the party as a sacrifice. The party will find the bandits cavernous hideout, clear through it, face the cultist, the Bandit's old boss, or both! All in a day’s worth of adventuring.
The Gommurg Clan rarely deal with outsiders. These hill dwarves have isolated themselves for centuries to work on their craft and guard an ancient and sinister structure. Deicide is a campaign designed to begin with a party of four to six 1st-level characters, who should advance to 20th level by its conclusion. The Gods have abandoned Faerûn. Bringing loved ones back from the dead hasn’t been done in centuries, and communion with the deities is a spiritual exercise only. Holy warriors and messengers have lost their powers and have all but completely disappeared. In this bleak world, wars are frequent, crime runs rampant, and hope has faded. Rumours are abound of a mysterious crime lord taking control of the underworld. Monsters roam the lands and every road is increasingly more dangerous. Without guidance, the many civilizations of this world are plagued by greed and corruption. The only way forward is to bring the Gods back, or to take their place in the heavens. Deicide takes place across two islands, Aurora and Limdorkal. These landmasses are the westernmost islands of the Moonshae Isles, an archipelago located roughly 400 miles west of the region of Amn and to the southwest of the Sword Coast. Surrounding the Sea of Moonshae, these islands feature a wide array of cities, civilizations, climates, terrains, and monsters. Limdorkal is famously a harsher environment, home to exotic races, whereas Aurora is almost entirely dominated by the human kingdom. Elminster Aumar, the famous Old Mage of Faerûn, once visited these islands and claimed it surprising how such diverse environmental systems erupted here, and how varied were the people inhabiting them. While the Sword Coast is part of Faerûn, a continent of Toril in the Forgotten Realms, feel free to adapt these islands to any setting of your choice, such as Ravenloft, Eberron, Ravnica, or even on your homebrew world. The story told here happens some hundreds of years after the beginning of 5th Edition, and the Overgod Ao is trapped inside an artifact, which limits the workings of gods around Toril. The characters will be able to learn more about the missing Gods, about a mythical folklore artifact known as the Wand of Wonders, which carries the powers of the Gods, and about the crime lord Kaiser Soze. Through their adventures, they will be able to visit other realms, planes, and dimensions, as well as come into contact with different races and civilizations. In the end, it is up to them whether to ally with the Crime Lord, and whether to release the Gods or keep their power for themselves. This campaign can work as a loose set of modular adventures, which can be easily picked separately and played as one-shots of different levels. Even their locations on the map might be moved, and events happening in particular towns can happen on others. The adventures include dungeon crawls, murder mysteries, sandbox urban quests, exploration on land and in the seas, inter-planar travelling, among others.
A 5E adventure, Heroes of Green Hollow centers on an idealistic figure named Ler Dolis, and the community that has come to treasure him in his twilight years. They seek the help of a band of adventurers to dissuade mysterious raiders scouting the village. However, everyone finds themselves in over their heads when these raiders turn out to be only a small part of an army of well-trained mercenaries. Players must recruit allies, heal local wounds, and confront the looming threat- all while they reckon with the brutality that lurks inside and out. Heroes of Green Hollow is a D&D adventure that asks what it costs to leave a lasting legacy of goodness, and challenges players to recognize the consequences of drawing their sword. ◆ Difficult choices lead to completely distinct events and outcomes ◆ Guidance for creating characters with deep ties to the story ◆ Powerful DM tools for customizing the adventure to player preferences ◆ Low on prep time, high on drama and big narrative moments 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰… • Is an all-new campaign book for the D&D 5E system. • Designed for parties levels 3-5 • 200 pages long. • Features over 17 original full-color painterly illustrations and 11 new custom full-color maps • Includes a range of specialized character backgrounds and story hooks to help DMs integrate their parties deeper into the story. • Tools and tips to support new DM's running their first full campaign. It seamlessly blends traditional adventure design with immersive story mechanics reminiscent of CRPGs such as Mass Effect. Each choice the players make has meaningful and mechanically explicit implications on what is yet to come. Because of this the adventure has a “next gen” feel to it, making the overall storytelling experience feel more collaborative than ever. I can’t wait to see its release!" Scott McClintock, (𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐬: 𝐒𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫) “Green Hollow is so comprehensive and has so much to support DMs at the table. Some good examples include strong NPC dialogue, interior and exterior descriptions, DM Tips, and sidequests which make navigating the information easy but all give guidance in how to run this campaign. This also comes into play with the Combat tips. A powerful monster’s stat block can be quite daunting but the team have worked well to create easy to read guidance. This is definitely worth a look, I know I’ll be pinching a heap of this stuff for my games.” Stuart Watkinson, (𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚’𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐬) “We all know D&D is, at its core, a monster fighting game. Matthew and Ryan have taken a different approach with Green Hollow to encourage the characters to fight for peace. A well-developed set of NPCs frame the action, allowing for GMs to easily dive into roleplaying them. Guidelines within the adventures take into account numerous responses by the characters, giving Green Hollow the feel of a vibrant, living world.“ Alan Tucker, (𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬, 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐩𝐬𝐞)
The Riverlands Kingdom is a peaceful place. Generations ago it was a thriving and rich trading empire. Now it is a sleepy region of farms and a few craftsmen. Dotted with villages and a few towns along the numerous rivers, protected by a wall of rugged mountains, a wild forest and a vast steppe, little of note occurs here from generation to generation. All that is about to be shattered, an ancient evil has arisen and undertakes to bring wrath and destruction to the Riverlands in a pledge to conquer the rivers and kill those who reside between them. The peace is about to be shattered, the harmony destroyed, the balance disturbed.
The party has been contracted by House Tor to provide 'extra security' during a ball. Unbeknownst to the players or House Tor, a spy from another house of an attending noble is going to try to sabotage the night in an attempt to ruin the evening. Can the party stop the spy? Will the nobles finally snap?
Tristan Harpell, a self-centered though likeable young mage, has bought a magic village! A month ago he sent his servant off to take possession of it, and he's heard nothing since. Our heroes are sent to investigate - and find an adventure unlike anything they've experienced before...

What happens when you are invited to a dinner party at the Karnov Mansion during a full moon? Certainly nothing good. The wonderful dinner party, complete with excellent food, drink, and company, soon evolves into a 'cat & mouse' game that has the adventurers fighting for their lives. Will they survive? And will they uncover the secret of the Karnov Mansion? Although the adventure is set in a non-specific location and can be dropped into any campaign, it feels right at home as a Curse of Strahd or Ravenloft one-shot adventure.
The players and the DM compete in a race against time to see if all humanity can be saved, or if the fiendish servants of the Hells can corrupt the world for their own nefarious purposes. Special time-keeping and resurrection mechanics are included to keep the pace exciting and the plot moving. Prepare to delve into the long-forgotten Tomb of Mercy!
