While Maeshi province revels in the festival spirit, clouds gather over the political scene. Two warlords are vying for control of this otherwise peaceful place, and you are guests of one of them. Dunerigger takes place in a desert, and the adventure begins in a garrison city at the desert's edge. Because of its position on several trade routes and its cool spring waters, the city is fairly prosperous and work is easy to find, though poorly paid. Faisal al'Farilreem is a successful merchant-adventurer, who fancies himself as a scholar of desert lore and history. He has heard reports of stonework and artefacts being uncovered in sandstorms, only to be buried again during the next. He is looking for an escort to take him and two 'companions' where he can investigate these mysteries at first hand. The journey will result in the discovery of an ancient dunerigger, a "sailing ship" of the desert.
The gnomes built a dragon. Can you turn it off? We gnomes built this wonderful dragon but now the darn thing seems to be out of control. The party meets a hapless gnome tinkerer who's mechanical dragon has gone haywire! The construct is possessed by a spirit named Ahmoras. The party is led to a town called Gnomevale on the way to Mount Nevermind. Finding the town devastated by the automaton, the party follows in the wake into the mountains. The party has many ways to defeat the automaton, ranging from brute force to tricking the spirit of Ahmoras out of the construct. Pgs. 36-49

A villainous warden (after being banished to the Abyss in a duel) returns to the trading post of Strathern Point with a cadre of demonic soldiers. "There's this huge fish in my mine," says the gnome, "and you've got one week to get rid of it." A little fishing trip - with you as the bait! The sea has many perils. Are the treasures of a sunken pirate ship worth the risk? Arkos Seatamer, a privateer and the sole survivor of a shipwreck has gathered a new crew. He's returning to the wreck to recover the body of his closest friend, Devek Harpwind, for a proper burial. Arkos had rammed the pirate vessel 'Striking Shadow' in combat, shattering its hull. He leapt aboard the sinking ship to take the pirate queen as a prisoner. Shortly after, a sudden storm arose, so violent that it sunk his ship as well. This isn't the whole story. The pirate queen wore a cursed gold armband, shaped like a coiled eel. The sight of the band made Arkos mad with greed and he moved to slay her to take it. Devek tried to intervene but Arkos killed his friend in rage. With his dying breaths Devek laid a horrible curse upon Arkos to become a were-eel each night. The PCs are hired to accompany Arkos and his crew to the wreckage and recover Devek's body from the wreck, along with the armband he still lusts for. Pgs. 18-35
