The adventure starts with a prophetic dream and a plea for help. The heroes are asked to recover a cart-load of supplies stolen by a band of savage monsters that have recently moved into the area. A strange fire wiped out everything the villagers had, and the stolen cart contains seeds and tools with which they can replant their crop before the season passes. It is a mundane task for heroes, but it seems simple and the villagers offer a reasonable reward. Lost Among the Crystals is a companion adventure made to go along with the vents unfolding in Folio #15 (WS2 The Forgotten Plateau). It contains the information needed to run a side adventure that will help the characters in their exploration of the Sacred Plateau. The mighty crystal fields of the Sacred Plateau have become a confusing maze amid the now rising vapors of necrotic energy that masks the midlands. The newly promoted Marquis Morningstar is a personable man who spent years on the trail fighting evil. His wilderness outpost suits his personality and his men love him for it. While not officially a “town”, this outpost can be utilized as a safe haven and a location where level training can be achieved.

The PCs are shown rooms to change into dry clothing, and invited to dine with Lord Crawford this evening. Dinner is interrupted by a woman's scream from a nearby room: Corbett, the master-at-arms has been murdered! This adventure is an atmospheric murder mystery set in a manor house.
