Under the Unmoving Sun is a one-shot adventure for the game Fire Burns Low. Player characters become strangers in a strange land when they are abducted from their homes and wake in the dark. What follows is a mystery that unfolds as they explore their new home. Before long, it becomes clear that nothing here is what it seems. This one-shot adventure was designed for the game Fire Burns Low but includes an adaptation for Dungeons & Dragons 5e with stat blocks for NPCs and monsters. It plays over 3-4 sessions. You have few complaints this night as you rest in the common room of the Crooked Crow Inn. While winter has passed, the night air carries enough of a chill to make any hearth a welcome sight. However, with little modifications, you can run this adventure in whatever world you wish. This adventure includes NPCs related to the story and to the Forgotten Realms, which might bring your players to other different plots as they play through. New ways of using old spells and items, presented as introduction to reinforce creative possibilities throughout play.
This AD&D scenario is designed to be a humorous departure from regular adventuring. The "heroes" are a fellowship of monsters on a quest to recover a magical item for an orc chieftain whom they have displeased. Having lost the map given to them, they must gain entry to a frontier outpost - probably by sneaking through sewers - and recover the map from a locked safe in the commanders quarters. Once they again have the map, the monsters must travel overland to an abandoned elven witches' temple on the shore of a mountain lake, where they will find the object of their quest. Pgs. 23-32
Sekarvu is a typical beholder. It spent much of its youth exploring underground realms and killing everything it found. One day, it came upon a large cavern filled with violet fungi. This Brief Encounter is made up of three events, a fixed encounter and details of the Hivebrood. The events can be played in any order that the DM wishes and should be dropped into play while the adventurers are apparently on their way to another adventure. They are not tied to any set location.
SQ3 – Hatadage Cult takes a group of initial adventurers on their first challenge. This short adventure allows a group of new or low level PCs hear news of a kidnapping from a nearby thorp.
