Unfortunately, this also makes them known to those that would seek the opportunity to steal their glory and riches. This story occurs in a place that has experienced this struggle for millennia. The door slams open so hard that the wall shakes and the hinges groan. To everyone’s astonishment, a goblin staggers in. He is badly wounded, with dried blood covering about half of his body. Only a moment before the air was full of the rattle of dice, the slap of cards, and cries of victory and defeat. Now the Gambling Golem is dead silent. Silas Cusk built a menagerie of magically reconstructed saurians on a tropical island and sold tickets to it. The party arrives as VIP guests on preview day — the same morning Cusk's former partner steals the diamond that powers every containment ward on the island. The wards go dark, the cages open, and the island has two hours before its magical foundations give out and it slides into the sea. A complete, ready-to-run one-shot for a small table: 2–3 players, levels 2–3, one 2–3 hour session, zero prep. Eighteen named scenes across four acts, with a branching second act (a subterranean stealth route or an exposed aerial one) that reconverges so nothing is gated behind the choice. A visible 0–10 tension meter — the Containment Instability Index — climbs as the island fails and sets the severity of the finale. The apex predator is not a villain: it is a construct whose control collar overloaded when the diamond was stolen, and it is in agony, not hunger. The three-phase boss has a discoverable weak point and ends in a single-round choice between three fully written endings — destroy the island's heart, restore containment, or free the beast — none of them clean. Includes 8 SRD 5.1 creature stat blocks, 4 NPCs, 4 ready-made characters (any two form a viable party), 6 battle maps, 6 opening hooks, 6 contingencies, and 5 campaign seeds. Every encounter is tuned and stress-tested for the worst-case small table.

The moon is turning green. A colossal tide of green slime has begun to engulf it, threatening to dissolve it entirely. As it does so, a tide of demonic madness begins to engulf the lands below. As the green shadow flows across the night sky, the world turns mad. The source? An insane cult of plasmoids dedicated to Juiblex, the demon lord of oozes and slimes. Soon the moon may be gone, the first part of a mad plan to dissolve the multiverse into the primordial slime of the Abyss. If only some heroes could appear before it’s too late... The Ooze That Ate The Moon is 5th-edition Dungeons & Dragons adventure based on the Spelljammer campaign setting. It is an investigative high-orbit pulp thriller paired with the wacky zaniness of Spelljammer, and every playthrough is likely to be different. It is designed for four 9th or 10th level characters and to be run in 3 to 6 three-hour sessions, or 2 to 3 longer sessions. It can be run as multi-session one shot or as part of an ongoing campaign. It fits perfectly after the events of Light of Xaryxis, but is written so as to be easily incorporated into any non-Spelljammer campaign. It requires the 5th Edition Spelljammer boxed set to run. Gameplay is based around investigation and roleplaying, with a good smattering of combat in the later acts. The climax of the adventure presents the players with a problem that has no clear solution. They’ll have to use all their wits and resources to overcome it, but can they do so in time?
