The wizard Abracadamus hid the Forever Stone in the darkest depths of a failing mine, coerced monsters into serving as guardians, and rigged the dungeon with traps galore. Then he died, as all good wizards do. Many heroes have fallen prey to the Forever Stone’s lure of immortality. To date, only one stalwart band has plunged into the Mines of Madness and lived to tell the tale. You think you’re better than them? You think you got what it takes to grab life by the stones and conquer the dungeon that won the 2012 Gygaxian Award* for Bonecrushing Awesomeness? We seriously doubt it, but go ahead . . . prove us wrong! Mines of Madness is a Very Special D&D® Next Adventure written for PAX East 2013 and designed for four 3rd-level characters.

The abandoned Tower of Ulvarum Orvernus stands atop an asteroid nearly a quarter mile in diameter, located roughly 5 million miles from the planet’s surface. The asteroid maintains Earth-like gravity and a breathable atmosphere, with habitable temperatures. This is all sustained through the harnessed power of a bound Air Elemental and Earth Elemental. If either of these Elementals are freed, the asteroid’s environment will quickly become inhospitable. The PCs may find themselves drawn to the asteroid through a forgotten portal, seeking a way to return home. Alternatively, they might be lured there by rumors of a powerful item or hidden knowledge within the tower’s extensive libraries. A multi-level tower filled with traps and strange encounters including animated armor, alien plant life, giant spiders, and a doppelganger.

Folks may go there to relax or to look for work, to celebrate or to mope, to learn the latest or to forget. At the Snapping Line Inn and Tavern: * Enjoy food, drink, gossip, a darts competition, and maybe a rousing bar fight. * Participate in a gambling night. Watch out for pirates! * Stop a dark ritual to save an innocent—and yourselves. * Come to the rescue when there’s an accident by the pier—and the predators arrive. Four linked encounters around a pier-side tavern for characters of levels 5-10. Playable individually, scattered throughout another campaign, or together as a four-to-six-hour adventure.

Mimic Madness is a psudeo-adventure with four interesting mimic encounters. These four encounters are structured in a way that they can be used together as one adventure, or each individually dropped into any adventure from EL4 to 7. The encounters vary the mimic's tactics significantly, such as by having them we a weapon rack that wields the weapon it holds, pretending to be animated furniture using its ability to speak, and pretending to be a floor covering a pit; none of them rely on the typical chest or door mimics. For the past several days, dozens of strong earthquakes have rocked the coastal area surrounding the underground Temple of Poseidon. Since the first quake, there have been a growing number of reports of strange events and macabre occurrences throughout the area. Several families near the temple have abandoned their farms and refused to return. They claim to have been terrorized by inhuman specters who prowled about their farms late at night. One of the farmers says he found a farm animal crucified and eviscerated in a ritualistic fashion on his front porch. Following the first tremors, all communications with the Temple of Poseidon, seemingly the center of the troubled area, were cut off. Messengers dispatched to the temple to request guidance from the Holy Oracle located there have not returned. Now the darkness has spread to this town. Unnatural births have occurred. Strange cries can be heard in the night, and there is a cowl around the moon. Magical divining has proven useless in naming the dark forces that invade. Many of the townspeople have already abandoned their homes and those who remain have but one recourse left: They have sent out a cry for hardened adventurers, experienced in dispatching evil. They must travel to the temple to discover the fate of the men there, and, if possible, elicit their help in destroying the growing heinous power. Pgs. 31-46

The Beautiful Hardcover Book available today at Compose Dream Games! Hell used to run on fear. Now it runs on quarterly projections. When Greed seized the Burning Throne, the first thing to go was overhead. Guards? Redundant. Torture specialists? Consolidated. The Styx? Outsourced. What remains is a skeleton crew of overworked fiends, a crumbling infrastructure of eternal punishment, and one very exploitable gap in security. Your players are the strike team. The mission: extract a damned soul who knows too much. The catch: even a budget Hell is still Hell. Expect devils who've traded pitchforks for pivot tables, infernal middle management clinging to what little power remains, and hazards that would make OSHA weep. A Privatized Little Hell is the adventure for tables that have outgrown dungeons and want something with teeth—and a severance package. A high-level dark comedy adventure for 5e that will make your current capitalist hellscape seem less bad. God’s been robbed. We’re breaking the thief out of Hell to find out where he stashed the goods. Are you in? Normally Hell would never relinquish a soul, but after a tumultuous infernal fiscal crisis/civil cold war, Pride’s out, and Greed is in. Guards have been downsized, security assets have been sold, and the Forces of Good have hatched a plot. Yet even in destitution, Hell is still dangerous. There are only a few heroes strong enough to attempt such a mission: your players! A Privatized Little Hell is a 5e-compatible Black Comedy Dungeon Crawl for roughly four characters of sixteenth level. This is a high-level hellscape that’ll keep your players chuckling, gasping, and fighting to escape. Warning: this adventure will kick your ass and charge you for the pleasure! Includes A Rare Find - The Definitive high-level indie adventure for 5e. Tortured Artistry - 104 lush pages of rich, raucous writing and art. Encounter design that respects your players' power - No trash mobs. No filler. Every fight is a set piece worthy of 16th-level legends. NPCs you'll actually remember - Devils with performance reviews, damned middle managers, and one very stressed archfiend trying to make Q4 numbers. Loot worth dying for (again) - Magic items that feel like rewards, not spreadsheet entries . The Depth Crawl System - Procedural hell generation for when your party inevitably goes off-book into the abyss.

This deluxe adventure takes heroes into the ruins of Gardmore Abbey, a monastery that was once the base of a militant order of paladins devoted to Bahamut. According to legend, the paladins brought a dark artifact back from a far crusade and stored it in their abbey for safekeeping, and evil forces gathered to assault the abbey and take it back. What the legends don’t tell is that this artifact was actually the Deck of Many Things, a force of pure Chaos. This adventure brings characters into the extensive dungeons beneath the ruins - dungeons that are warped and twisted with the raw forces of Chaos surrounding the cards of the deck.
